Glacier Supply sells to individuals, private companies, contractors, and government entities.
Financing is available for equipment purchases both new and used; however, Glacier Supply does not do in-house financing for sales. Some manufacturers have buyers work with designated lenders for equipment purchases. For customers looking to finance a trailer or plow purchase, Glacier Supply recommends Sheffield Financial or your local financial institution.
For the current finance rates or cash purchase incentives, please contact the sales department. Please note that finance rates are based on multiple factors including length of loan, credit score, down payment amount, etc. Consequently, not all borrowers will be eligible for all advertised rates.
Glacier Supply rents the same equipment it sells: Yanmar excavators, track loaders from ASV and Yanmar, IronBull trailers, and a wide variety of track loader attachments from manufacturers such as Virnig, Fecon, Erskine, and Blue Diamond. Glacier Supply is a Yanmar tractor dealer, however, tractors are not available for rental.
Demo rates on equipment do exist. Traditionally, if you buy the equipment after renting it for a demo, 50% of the total rental price will be taken off of your purchase price for the equipment. Please see the sales department for specifics.
Glacier Supply does sell equipment from its rental fleet; however, there is no set timeframe as to when a piece of equipment will be removed from the rental fleet and available for sale. Please contact the sales department for more information.
For more information on potential trade-ins or consigning equipment for sale, please contact the sales department.
Deposits are required on all equipment purchases and start at $500.00 depending on the purchase price of the equipment. Deposits are non refundable.
For payment, Glacier Supply accepts cash, check, wire transfers, and credit cards. Credit cards are subject to a 3% processing fee.
Montana does not have a sales tax.

Warranty coverage varies by brand and manufacturer; the sales department can go over specifics for warranty coverage. For Yanmar tractors and excavators, warranty inspections must be done at specific intervals to keep the warranty in place. Several brands have extended warranty purchase options available.

In Montana, track loaders, tractors, and excavators do not need to be registered or titled as they are not street legal. However, trailers do need to be registered.
Registration paperwork for trailer purchases will be done when the trailer is purchased; the process takes about 15-20 minutes. A driver’s license and business EIN number (if registering to a business) are needed to complete the registration. Montana law requires vehicle and trailer dealers to submit the registration paperwork; individuals cannot bring the paperwork to the local DMV. The necessary temporary tag will be issued prior to your departure.
Once the DMV receives the paperwork, Glacier Supply cannot provide any information on its status. In Flathead County, Montana, the status of registration paperwork can be checked on the County Treasurer’s website. Presently, it takes approximately 4-5 weeks for the registration paperwork to be completed by the DMV. In Flathead County, buyers will receive an email indicating the registration is ready. Payment and license plate selection are done online with plates mailed out for about $5.00. The average trailer registration cost in Flathead County is $250.00. In Montana, trailers automatically get permanent registration. Titles in Montana arrive 2-3 weeks after the registration is paid.
A low horse power tractor is one typically less than 40 HP usually between 15 and 30 HP.
At Glacier Supply, we sell our Yanmar tractors with R4 tires. R4 tires are industrial tires with tightly spaced lugs for heavy duty and hard surfaces. R3 tires are also available by special order for Yanmar tractors. R3 tires are designed for turf with smaller, low profile, button-style treads to provide the maximum amount of ground contact.
Tractor tires do not come pre-filled with beet juice for additional weight on the tractor. Glacier Supply does not do this inhouse, however, in the Flathead Valley the Les Schwab on Center St. in Kalispell has this capability. Please contact the parts department for more information.
In most cases, yes. Three point hitches are a common item needed for tractor attachments. Please speak with the parts or sales departments to determine what might be needed for the desired tractor attachments.
Unfortunately, Glacier Supply does not rent out tractor attachments.
All excavators Glacier Supply rents and sells come with hydraulic thumbs.
